Overview
The outdoor Melbourne Olympic Pool staged Dawn Fraser and Murray Rose titles at the 1956 Games, the first Olympics held south of the equator. Its grandstand engineering of the era was award winning. The site was later redeveloped as the city expanded its tennis precinct.
