Paris La Defense Arena
Rugby stadium converted into a swimming hall for Paris 2024
Overview
The vast La Defense Arena, home of Racing 92 rugby, was emptied and fitted with temporary pools for the 2024 Olympic swimming and water polo competitions. It is among the largest indoor arenas in Europe. The conversion showed how modular pool technology lets non aquatic stadiums host swimming at the highest level.
