London Aquatics Centre
Zaha Hadid wave roof stadium of the 2012 Games
Overview
The London Aquatics Centre carried a sweeping roofline by Zaha Hadid over two 50 m pools and a diving well, built for 2012 with temporary wings that lifted capacity to about 17,500. After the Games it was trimmed and reopened as a public facility. It remains a working community pool in Stratford that also hosts national and international meets.
