Kristin Otto
Six golds at Seoul 1988, the most by a woman at a single Games at the time
Overview
Otto won the 50 m and 100 m freestyle, 100 m backstroke, 100 m butterfly and two relays in Seoul, becoming the first woman to win six golds at one Games. Like her teammates, her results were later tied to the East German doping system. She retired before reunification and moved into journalism.
