Tamas Darnyi

Overview
Darnyi won the 200 m and 400 m IM at Seoul 1988 and again at Barcelona 1992, holding world records in both events through the peak of his career. He lost sight in one eye as a child in an accident, a fact widely noted in his career coverage. He is regarded as Hungary first great IM champion of the modern era.
