Overview
Biondi won five golds at Seoul 1988 including the 50 m and 100 m freestyle, and was the first man under 49 seconds for the 100 m. Across Los Angeles 1984, Seoul and Barcelona 1992 he gathered 11 medals. A water polo convert with a towering fly kick, he later taught mathematics.
