Overview
Hackett won the 1500 m at Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 and set 14:34.56 at the 2001 world championships in Fukuoka, a record that stood until 2011. His endurance base from massive training mileage set the standard for distance programs. He also anchored Australian relays to world titles.
